O2BNAZ

The name of my blog says a lot about me. There are many times I wish I had never left Arizona, or wish I could go back to visit more often. I'll always be an Arizona girl at heart. It's my home, and it's where most of my family lives.

Actually, I came up with "O2BNAZ" as I was trying to come up with a personalized license plate for my truck when we moved to Georgia. My husband talked me out of actually having the license plate made, because he felt it would send the wrong message to our new friends and neighbors here. He thought it would make them feel bad or something, like they were not my first choice as friends, or that I was insulting their home state.

I think I am going to have the O2BNAZ license plate made this year, though. I'm in a different state of mind now, really. It's not that I'm sitting around pining for AZ all the time, but I think those people who matter to me know that I do like it here in GA and I love the friends I've made. I don't think of it as making the statement that I'm wishing I wasn't here, or wishing I were somewhere else, but just saying that I'm from AZ, and everyone knows it, and I'm honoring that part of myself.

I think you should have it made and everyone will know you just love AZ! I don't think it will offend anyone. Go for it, Kelley!!

I definitely think you should have it made! I'm so glad you are getting settled in there and having it feel more like home. Although we miss you here!

I love your blog but just haven't been around much lately. Sometimes I get into a rut and don't check for days at a time and then I'll go days where I check each one every single day!

Glad I made your day, friend!!

I so know how you feel and I only lived there for 2.5 years. Yes, I sometimes missed "home" but boy is AZ lovely. Okay, so 120 degree days 5 months pg, driving a black car, and going to classes at the university around 12-2 PM...having to walk about mile wasn't so fun.

I know how to open a car door with one finger, I know that the best parking spots are NOT the ones next to the doors (they're under the trees), and I know how to pronounce Hohokam. ;)
